JCE Editor needs tweaking so html code can be saved correctly

I needed to embed html code for a calendar on a webpage. I was using Joomla 2.5 and it was a template that had all sorts of plug-ins and extensions so the template had a ton of really cool design elements. All I wanted to do, to finish up the job, was embed html code in an article in Joomla 2.5. So I go to global configurations, turn off the editor, open the article, add the code, click save, then go to preview my work and I got.....nothing. I repeat all the same steps and again, I got nothing.

The next logical thing for me is to Google the issue I'm coming across. A ton of links come up so I click on one that I hope has the answer and it suggests that I do exactly what I had just tried to do. I click on another link and it brings me to all kinds of cool modules and plug ins that do what I need my article to do. This option can sometimes back fire as joomla extensions can come with glitches. I added a plug-in one time and none of my image galleries would load. So I was hesitant to continue researching a good module because I had read that the JCE Editor can fix the whole issue, but my screenshots didn't look like the screenshots in the tutorial, and then I found this.

Let's just get right to it!!

In Joomla 2.5 the text filters have to be adjusted and it's done it two simple steps! First got to the Global Configuration, click on the Text Filters tab. Next, find the Super Users group, or the group that you want to edit, set Filter Type to No Filtering. It is recommended that the user group you are editing is trusted as it will allow any html to be added. The site where I found this information is here. There are instructions for Joomla 1.5 & 1.7 also.
